About Shangrila

James Hilton, an English novelist, in the year 1933 published a notable novel “The Lost Horizon” where he first penned SHANGRI-LA to be a place of tranquility and spiritual a mystical, harmonious valley, gently guided from a lamasery, enclosed in the mountains. Shangri-La has become synonymous with any earthly paradise, particularly a mythical Himalayan utopia – a permanently happy land, isolated from the world.
